Mr. Donald Charles Cecil's Obituary
Mr. Donald Charles Cecil, age 82, passed away peacefully in his sleep on Wednesday, January 28, 2015 at his home in North Muskegon. He was born in Newaygo County on October 1, 1932 to Ralph and Nellie (Laird) Cecil. Don had been employed by CWC Textron for 30 years before his retirement. He was a member of First Baptist Church. Don enjoyed hunting and loved to fish. On August 3, 1972, Don married the former Arlene Frances Lytel in Muskegon and she survives him along with 7 children, David (Kelly) Cecil, Donald (Sharon) Cecil, Jr., Suzanne Victoria (Andrew) Pastars, Ken (Juliet) Brandel, Edward (Lisa) Brandel, Joe (Brenda) Brandel and Anthony Brandel; one son-in-law, Terry Scott; 24 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchildren; one brother, Albert Cecil and one sister, June Dombrouski. He was preceded in death by his parents; one daughter, Lynn Scott and two sisters, Mary Wimple and Ernestine Robart. SERVICES will be held 1:00 PM Tuesday, February 3, 2015 at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 E. Apple Ave., 231-726-5210 with Rev. John Brown officiating. VISITATION will be from 5-8PM Monday, February 2, 2015 at The Sytsema Chapel. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
