Mr. Donald J. DeBoer's Obituary
Donald J. DeBoer, age 66, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, September 30, 2015, at home to enter his new home in heaven. He was born in Muskegon on May 31, 1949 to John and Sena (Blink) DeBoer, who preceded him in death. He married his best friend, Sharon, in 1971. Don was a veteran of the United States Army and was a retired semi-driver for Sara Lee Bakery. He enjoyed motorcycles, waterskiing, camping and bicycling. His family was very important to him and he will be greatly missed. He is survived by his wife, Sharon; one brother, Gerald (Nelva) DeBoer of Holland and their daughters, Gina (Ron) Cornacchia, and their son, Jonathan; Marla (Mike) Heatley and their sons, Gaiden and Colten; Rhonda (Mark) Hill and their sons, Andrew and Ethan; two brothers-in-law, Wayne (Kittie) Zandstra and their sons, Jon and Cory (Regan); Gary (Dar) Zandstra and their daughter, Marie, and her children, Bailey, Preston and Cody; a special sister-in-law, Donna and special cousin, Ellen Southland. SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Monday at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Ave., 231-726-5210. VISITATION will be from 2-5 PM Sunday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Restlawn Cemetery.
