Donald Emerson Deems' Obituary
Donald Emerson Deems age 79, of Conklin, Michigan died Saturday, February 19, 2022 at Spectrum Blodgett Hospital in Grand Rapids.
Donald was born on May 4, 1942 in Scotts, Michigan to the late Lawrence and Hazel (Averill) Deems. He served in the United States Army. He worked in the Foundry for 40 years.
Donald is survived by 4 Sons: Troy Deems of White Cloud, Scott (Eileen) Deems of Conklin, Jason (Kelli) Deems of Ravenna and Joel Deems of N. Muskegon. 1 Daughter: Dana M. Deems of Ravenna. 15 Grandchildren and 8 Grandchildren. 3 Brothers: Robert (Sally) Deems of Conklin, Jim Deems of Ravenna and Melvin (Diane) Deems of Conklin. 3 Sisters: Joyce (Ken) Schut of Ravenna, Sue (Ed) Manasco of Kent City and Kate (Ken) Montgomery of Conklin. Numerous nieces and nephews also survive.
A Funeral service will be conducted on Friday, February 25, 2022 at 11:00am at the Throop Funeral Home of Ravenna with Fred VanOeffelen officiating. Burial will be in Bennett Cemetery. Military Honors will be conducted at the funeral home by the Ravenna American Legion Post #297.
The family will be at the funeral home on Friday 1 hour prior to greet friends.
