Donald J. Ferencsik's Obituary
Mr. Donald J. “Don” Ferencsik, age 77, passed away Saturday, March 19, 2016. He was born on December 26, 1938 in Muskegon to Joseph and Elizabeth (Sabo) Ferencsik and resided here his entire life. Don work over 34 years at Sam Garven & Son before retiring in 2001. On June 26, 1985 he married the former Eleanor Bates and she preceded him in death on July 13, 1993. SURVIVORS include 2 brothers, Robert Ferencsik, and Thomas Ferencsik; sisters, Eleanor (Marven) Walworth, Joanne Leech and Mary Gillhespy along with several nieces and nephews. Don was also preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gene Ferencsik; and brother-in-law, Ed Gillhespy. A special thank you to friends, Bert and Debbie Grega, everyone at Heartland Knollview Rest Home, and Brenda at Sonos Hearing. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 2PM Thursday, March 24 at The Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100 with Rev. Robert Conradt officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 1 hour prior to the service, from 1-2PM. Memorial Contributions to the American Cancer Society and the American Diabetes Association will be appreciated.
