Mr. Donald E. Fox's Obituary
Mr. Donald E. Fox, 84, passed away Sunday afternoon, June 1, 2014 in Muskegon. He was born July 22, 1929 to Harry and Grace (Dobb) Fox in Muskegon, and was a life resident. Don worked as a truck driver in Muskegon. He served Muskegon Township as a volunteer firefighter. He was a member of the Viking Lodge, Fathers of VFW, the Eagles, and enjoyed traveling, camping, hunting, fishing, tinkering, and sports in general. He was a member of Immanuel Lutheran Church, where he was active on council and regularly served as usher and greeter. When he finished coaching Little League, he coordinated church softball and basketball teams. On July 22, 1948 Don married Geraldine L. Loss; she preceded him in death on April 8, 2013. SURVIVORS include two children, Gary (Ruth) Fox of TN, Kaye (Glenn) Sheaffer of Muskegon; three grandchildren, Melissa (Scott) Wynsma, Jeremy (Jessica) Sheaffer, and Jonathan (Jamie) Sheaffer; five great-grandchildren, Brody, Jason, Joslynn, Keaton, and Jaxon. He was also preceded in death by his parents and a great-granddaughter, Marley. A MEMORIAL SERVICE for Don will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Immanuel Lutheran Church, 930 Creston St., with Pastor Julie Winklepleck officiating.
