Donald C. Freeman's Obituary
Donald C. Freeman, age 81, passed away Friday, June 21, 2024. He was born March 3, 1943 in Newberry, MI to Donald K. and Rita (Thomas) Freeman. Don graduated from Muskegon High School and served his country in the United States Air Force. He worked many years for MagCorp in Utah until his retirement. Don was a member of the Vikings Linne Lodge 57 and the Holton American Legion Post 397. He enjoyed playing fast-pitch softball, bowling, hunting, and fishing. Don is survived a daughter, April; two grandchildren; two brothers: Wilbur (Mary) Freeman and Thomas (Sabina) Freeman both of North Muskegon; nephews: Boyd and Neil; nieces: Tina and Kim; and his loving companion, Joan Messner and her son, Phillip (Judy) DeVowe and daughter, Toni (Bruce) Fisher. He was preceded in death by his parents and first wife, LeAnn Freeman. A CELEBRATION of Don’s Life will be held 11:00 AM Friday, August 2, 2024 at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442 (231) 726-5210.
