Donald E. Hegedus' Obituary
Donald Eugene Hegedus passed away Sunday, February 10, 2019 at the age of 82. He will be lovingly remembered by the love of his life, best friend and wife of 60 years, Judy. Don passed away at his winter residence in Naples, FL, where he had been wintering for the past 23 years. He was born March 17, 1936 in Detroit, MI, a son of the late Johan and Eva (Stedman) Hegedus. Mr. Hegedus was a veteran of the United States Army. Don’s career started as a carpenter before establishing Tridonn Construction Company in Muskegon, MI. His passions for development then lead him to create Tridonn Development Company which would build motels, residential developments and commercial buildings which can be seen throughout Muskegon. He was also a founding member of Community Shores Bank. He retired from Tridonn Construction in 1994 but never lost his drive for development. Donald was a member of Prince of Peace Catholic Church and the Knights of Columbus. An avid golfer, he was a member of the Muskegon Country Club and the Imperial Golf and Country Club in Naples, FL. Survivors include his beloved wife Judy (Vallier) Hegedus; loving daughters: Linda (William) Boyd of Fruitport, Jill (Brian) Boersema of Muskegon, Kelly (Tim) Stone of Twin Lake; cherished grandchildren: Carolyn, Josh, Ryan, Matthew, Jacob, Erin, Jesse, Austin, Tanner, Grant; great-grandchildren: Ellie and Grayson; many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. In addition to his parents, Don was preceded in death by his siblings: John Hegedus, Eddie Hall and Verna Jean Krbez.
