Donald F. Holman's Obituary
Mr. Donald F. Holman, 78, passed away early Tuesday morning, May 25, 2021 in Grand Haven. He was born October 18, 1942 to Donald O. and Hattie (Thompson) Holman in Muskegon and lived most of his life here. He was employed at CWC for 42 years before retiring. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, football, hockey and spending time at his cabin in Manistee. On April 24, 1982 Don married Brenda S. Piper and she survives him along with four children: Cindy (Michael) Belt, Tina (Douglas) Szost, Donald O. (Carolanne) Holman, Jeremy (Jennifer) Holman; 13 grandchildren: Melissa (Brian) Benson, Lacey (Matthew) Shinew, Robert Jones, Chad (Lynetta) Jones, Jessie Jones, Jade (Joshua) Gray, Jared Holman, Jacob Holman, Jessica Holman, Corey Potter, Shelby Potter, Jonathan (Roann) Lara, Zachary Higley; 17 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters: Joan (Jerry) Houston, Joyce (Charles) Stervinou. A service to remember and celebrate Don’s life will be held Tuesday, June 1, at 1:00 PM at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444. Visitation will be one hour prior to the service. Contributions in memory of Mr. Holman may be made to the Parkinson’s Foundation. Following the funeral you are invited to join the family at Lakeshore Fellowship, 16790 Van Wagner Road, Spring Lake, MI 49456 for refreshments and cake.
