Donald W. Kelley's Obituary
Donald Wayne Kelley, age 75, of Muskegon passed away Thursday, February 25, 2021 at Roosevelt Park Nursing Home. He was born July 16, 1945 in Muskegon to Joseph and Helen (Kreiser) Kelly. Following high school, he enlisted in the United States Navy and served during Vietnam. On July 25, 1966, he married former Sandra Guthrie in La Mesa, California. He worked as a foreman in the Navy Shipyards in San Diego for 20 years prior to his medical retirement. His family and friends will remember him as a “happy-go-lucky” person who never complained and who loved spending time with his grandchildren. He is survived by his wife of 54 years, Sandy; two grandchildren: Zoe and Logan Kelley; daughter-in-law: Chris Wall; brother, Bill (Dawn) Kelley; sisters-in-law: Deb and Rita Kelly; and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Joseph Kelley; brothers: Patrick Kelly and Jerry Kelly; and sister, Sharon. Due to COVID-19 and social distancing guidelines there will be no services at this time.
