Donald Kenneth Magsig's Obituary
Donald Kenneth Magsig, age 69, passed away Monday, December 23, 2013, at home. He was born August 3, 1944, to Donald Edward and Lenora Margaret (Pugh) Magsig. He married Jeanette Parchem on October 21, 1995 in Spring Lake.
Don graduated from Central Michigan University with a Bachelor’s Degree. He was the owner of Mark Baldwin Associates employment agency. Don also worked as a independent contractor for Superior Lamps for 10 years. He enjoyed golfing, playing pool, reading and writing poetry, and reading.
Don is lovingly remembered by his wife, Jeanette Magsig of Spring Lake; 2 daughters, Kim (Toby Pallett) Magsig of Farmington Hills, Stacey (Thad) Bowden of Holland; 4 stepchildren, Stephen Stanhope of Chicago, Nathan (Cammie) Stanhope of Grand Haven, Anne (Joseph) Marsan of Fennville, Michael Stanhope of Spring Lake; 11 grandchildren; 1 great-grandson; his sister, Sue (Dave) Clabak of Wisconsin; 2 brothers, Dave (Ione) Magsig of Saginaw, Steven (Janet) Magsig of Detroit; and numerous nieces and nephews. Don was formerly married to Judith (Shaver) Schuitema and she also survives him. He was preceded in death by his parents.
The Funeral Service for Don will be 11:00 a.m. Friday, December 27, 2013, at St. Mary’s Catholic Church with Deacon William Charron officiating. Friends may meet the family one hour prior to the service at church. Memorials to the Muskegon Rescue Mission are appreciated.
