I was 12 when Don married my cousin Brenda. My memories from that time were of the fun-loving Don. He was always happy, smiling, and enjoying life. He also enjoyed playing tricks on the younger ones - me included - but the tricks were good-natured and never ever mean. We would move from Michigan 3 years later, and so my memories of Don were reduced to a couple of times a year or a couple of times every several years. But Don did not change. He was always the happy and smiling one, the one willing to help anyone with anything, the one who took care of my oldest first cousin, and the one the family depended on throughout the years. I will hold these memories forever.
