Donald F. Morehouse's Obituary
Mr. Donald F. Morehouse, age 93, passed away Monday, November 21, 2016 at Heartwood Lodge. He was born on September 22, 1923 in Ferry, MI to Marion and Eva (Gillhespy) Morehouse. Don was a Veteran of the U.S. Army and served his country in World War II. He worked at Kaydon for over 30 years, before retiring in 1985. Don was a charter member of Shoreline Credit Union where he served as President and Treasurer. He loved camping and traveling, and enjoyed wintering in Florida. On April 19, 1946, he married the former Beverly K. Haralson, and she preceded him in death on July 6, 2003. SURVIVORS include three sons, Donavon (Christie) Morehouse of Walkerville, Jerry (Cindy) Morehouse of Norton Shores, and William (Marie) Morehouse of Grand Haven; six grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; special friend, Marian Bayne, brother, Bruce Morehouse; three sisters, Emily Baker, Marian “Tinker” Poole, and Beverly Ferrier. Don was also preceded in death by his parents, four brothers and three sisters. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 11 AM Monday, November 28, 2016 at The Lee Chapel 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100.
