Mr. Donald H. Nellis' Obituary
Don Nellis, 88, passed away Sunday evening, October 26, at his home. He was born December 29, 1925 in Grand Rapids. Don was a U.S. Army veteran having served overseas during WWII. He was a respected businessman, owning several businesses throughout the years, the last being Don Nellis Organs and Pianos until his retirement in 2000. Don was a quiet, unassuming man who will be deeply missed by his wife of over 30 years, Judy; his 4 children, Lisa (Ed) Brady, Troy (Sue) Taylor, Don (Mary) Nellis, Linda (Darrell) Knibbs; 6 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Scott Taylor. We will be forever grateful to Dr. Kevin Kiley and his staff for the genuine concern and compassionate care in treating Don. Our sincere thanks, also, to the Mercy Health Hospice staff for their excellent care. In accordance with his wishes, a private family memorial will be held, and cremation has taken place.
