Donald Philip Oliphant's Obituary
Donald Philip Oliphant, age 70, passed away peacefully at the Leila and Cyrus Poppen Residence on Saturday, March 30, 2024. He was born March 9, 1954, to Jack and Beatrice (Spoelman) Oliphant, in Muskegon, MI and graduated from Muskegon High School in 1972. Don owned Konkles Bar in Grand Rapids, MI for over 20 years and eventually his love for poker would take him to Tunica, MS, where he became a Poker Dealer. He loved to fish and to many of the locals was known as “Dandy Don the Bartender.”
Don will be missed by his siblings, John (Elizabeth) Oliphant, Nellamarie Oliphant, Bill Oliphant, Jack (Susan) Oliphant, Peggy (Rod) Oliphant-Stone and Timothy (Laureen) Oliphant. He was preceded in death by his parents.
