Donald Eugene Robinson's Obituary
Donald Eugene Robinson, age 89, passed away on January 9, 2025. He was born on June 8, 1935, to Mark and Metta (Buchner) Robinson in Muskegon. Don served his country in the United States Army and worked for 38 years as an electrician at SD Warren before retiring in 1994. He was a founding member and the first president of the Paperworkers Retirement Organization (PRO). Additionally, he was involved with the Rix Robinson Family Reunion, which is over 100 years old, and enjoyed gardening and coaching baseball. On September 21, 1957, he married Vivian Plumhoff, who preceded him in death in 2020. Don is survived by two children, Rex (Lori) Robinson and Robin (Dan) Taylor; four grandchildren, Jeff (Ashley) Robinson, Rachel Saldana, Nickolas Taylor, and Brandi Taylor; and three great-grandchildren, Payton, Annalynn, and Jameson. He is also survived by his brother, Kim (Shirley) Robinson; his brother-in-law, Tom (Joyce) Plumhoff; and his niece, Joyanne Benedict, along with many other family members. Don was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, Jack and Vernon; his sisters, Mae Drunkenmiller and sister-in-law, Jean Plumhoff. In accordance with Don's wishes, cremation has taken place, and he will be buried at E. Dalton Oakhill Cemetery. Share memories with the family at www.sytsemafh.com.
