Donald James Slater's Obituary
Donald J. Slater, age 55, passed away on February 4, 2024. He was born in Muskegon, MI, on January 8, 1969, to Daniel and Ruth (Boltze) Slater. Donald attended Wesley School and later worked at Goodwill for many years. He loved going camping, dancing, and joking around with people. Donald also actively participated in the Special Olympics where he was on the relay team. Donald is survived by his brothers: Daniel (Nancy) Slater and Michael (Dawn) Slater along with many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by his parents Daniel and Ruth Slater and a sister, Becky Slater. In lieu of flowers the family ask that donations be made to Lawrence Home Assisted Living, Muskegon, MI. Visitation will be Friday, February 9, 2024, from Noon-1:00 pm at the Sytsema Chapel with the Funeral Service following at 1:00 pm. Arrangements by the Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 E. Apple Ave, Muskegon, MI 49442.
