Donald W. Steffens Jr.'s Obituary
Donald Wayne Steffens, Jr, age 66, passed away peacefully at home on Thursday, September 3, 2020. He was born June 25, 1954 in Groton, Connecticut. His passion for music brought him to the Muskegon area back in the 1970’s. He worked for years at Pin Crest Lanes in Fruitport, MI, where he made many long time friends. He was a proud member of the Fruitport Eagles for 21 years. “Sparky” enjoyed playing & coaching softball, bowling, watching the Tigers, Lions & Red Wings along with University of Michigan sports. His game day rituals & superstitions kept him busy prepping for each and every game. He bled Maze & Blue thru and thru. He is survived by his Son, Steven Steffens, Grandchildren, Sophia Marie and Jackson Robert; His Brothers Michael & Robert Steffens; Sister Linda Steffens; and many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his Mother, Caroline Mae Ranieri and beloved dogs, Abby & JoJo. Donnie spent the last seven plus years enjoying the simple things in life to the fullest with his Lady Love, Andrea Ingersoll, who cared for him to the very end. A celebration of life will be held this month.
