For years Don and Ruth would stop at Lone Pine Party Store in Honor to walk the dog, get a newspaper and use the phone. One day I noticed they had a new car and made the comment" bought it in a good place Grand Haven" Don said this is where we live, so we exchanged names. The next week Don came in and said Jim do you have a Aunt named Marion, Jim said no but I have a sister. Marion and Don were boyfriend-girlfriend in first grade. They walked to school together everyday, we called Marion that night and she remembered. I think this was there 50th class reunion year. We bought Christmas trees from them and Don would bring them to us. We enjoyed their visits on their way to Leelanau County, and have missed them the last few years..
Will keep the family in our prayers.
