Donald A. Wieten's Obituary
Donald Arthur Wieten, age 66, passed away early Friday morning, February 14, 2020 in Texas. He was born March 4, 1953 in Muskegon, MI to Robert and Mary “Dolly” (Jorgensen) Wieten. Don worked for Unique Model, Inc. in Walker for 25 years and 2 years for CG Automotive and Fixture, Inc. in Comstock Park. On June 21, 1973, he married the former Kathryn A. Perry in Muskegon and she preceded him in death on December 30, 2007. Don had a passion for shooting guns and was a member of the Twin Lake Gun Club, where he was also secretary and treasurer for many years. He was a year-round hunter and a life-long resident of the Lonesome Lake Campground in Baldwin, MI. SURVIVORS include 2 sons: David (Rachel) Wieten of Muskegon, Daniel (Chris) Wieten of Grand Rapids; 2 grandchildren: Josh and Josse Wieten; 3 brothers: Ben (Lola) Wieten of Grand Haven, Bruce (Sherry) Wieten of White Cloud, Darrell (Pamela) Wieten of Muskegon; several nieces and nephews; and his girlfriend, Robin Tenbrink of Muskegon. A celebration of Don’s life will be held 3:00 PM Saturday, February 22, 2020 at the VFW Post 3734 (5201 Airline Rd., Muskegon, MI 49444). Donations to the family will be appreciated.
