Donald A. Smith's Obituary
Mr. Donald A. Smith, age 86, went to be with his Lord and Savior early Wednesday morning, February 9, after a heart attack and brief illness. Born January 5, 1919 at Hackley Hospital in Muskegon, Don was a 1937 graduate of Muskegon Heights High School. He was an army veteran of WWII, a long time summer resident of Maranatha and member of Forest Park Covenant Church. Don married his wife of 65 years, Irene E. (nee Anderson), on November 23, 1939. Don was the Director of Service at Dresser Crane in Muskegon for 43 years.
Preceded in death by his father, Adelbert, and his mother Jean W. (nee McGilp), Don is survived by his wife Irene; daughter Janet (Richard) Cummins of Fishers IN; son Gary D. of Muskegon; six grandchildren: Kelly Cummins, Lori Cummins and Todd Cummins; Storme (Edward) Dunn, Heidi (Brandon) Fairfield and Army Specialist Jeremiah Smith; five great grandchildren and one sister, Agnes (Rev. Kenneth) Lindland of Grass Lake, MI.

FUNERAL SERVICES will be held 1 PM Monday, February 14, at Forest Park Covenant Church, 3815 Henry Street. Interment will follow in Norton Cemetery.
