Donald E. Gifford's Obituary
Mr. Donald E. Gifford, age 77, passed away at home surrounded by his family Saturday, December 1, 2007. He was born on June 4, 1930 to Edward and Evelyn (Payne) Gifford in Shelby, MI and has resided in the Muskegon area since 1951. He was a self employed crane operator and truck driver for Pine Ridge Contractors, Inc. He was a member of Muskegon East Congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses. On March 17, 1951 he married Barbara Gray in Michigan City, IN. SURVIVORS include his wife, Barbara; 6 children, Molly (Frank) Rogers of Grand Haven, Carey (Jeff) Fossler of Mountain View, AK, Lee (Joel) McCormick of Shelby, Marty E. (Eliana) Gifford of Muskegon, Kelly (Martina) Gifford of Grand Haven and Gerry Gifford of N. Muskegon; 16 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Ila Hewitt of Kansas and Jean (Bob) McGhan of Shelby and Grandma “Al”. A MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 3:00PM Sunday, December 16, 2007 at the MOSS RIDGE GOLF COURSE (13545 E. Apple Ave). VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. In Lieu of Flowers memorials may be given in honor of Donald to Michigan Regional Building Committee #2 or Watch Tower World Wide Work.
