Donald E. Lynn's Obituary
Donald E. Lynn, age 83, passed away Thursday, June 10, 2010 at Sanctuary at McAuley. Mr. Lynn was born on November 1, 1926 to Duke and Ruth (Salathe) Lynn in Muskegon. He was a member of First Christian Church Disciples of Christ where he served as a deacon. Mr. Lynn served his country in the Army during WWII and was a member of V.F.W. Don Rea Post 8846. For 51 years, Mr. Lynn worked at Workman Printing prior to his retirement in 2008; he also worked at the L.C. Walker Arena as an usher and ran the skate shop for 30 years. On October 25, 1957 he married Margaret Fesko in Muskegon and she survives him along with 2 sons, Daniel (Melanie) Lynn of Muskegon and David (Bethe) Lynn of Sidney, IL; 4 grandchildren, Alex, Christopher, Zachary, Joshua. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers, Edward, Raymond and Ronald Lynn. FUNERAL SERVICE will be 2:00 PM Monday, June 14, 2010 at The Walburn Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 1547 W. Sherman Blvd. 231-759-8565 with Pastor Robert Opperman officiating. VISITATION will be one hour prior to the service. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery. MEMORIALS to First Christian Church Disciples of Christ or Muskegon Heritage Association would be appreciated.
