Donald F. Little's Obituary
Mr. Donald F. Little, age 89, passed away Tuesday, December 9, 2008 at a local nursing home. He was born in Detroit, MI on May 15, 1919 to Floyd and Pearl (McCleod) Little and had lived most of his life in Muskegon. Mr. Little was employed at Teledyne Continental Motors for 34 years and retired in 1985. He served in the US Army during WWII and was a member of the VFW Don Rea Post. He loved hunting, fishing and fixing things for everyone. On January 18, 1947 he married the former Evelyn J. Johnson, and she preceded him in death on December 15, 1989. He is survived by 4 children, Sandra Clapper, of Muskegon, Ronda Whiteman of Fruitport, Susan (Charles) Roberts of Muskegon, and Donn (Wendy) Little of Muskegon; 14 grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren; 2 brothers, Edward (Barbara) Little of Muskegon, and Charles Little of Virginia; and several nieces and nephews. He was also preceded in death by a daughter, Lori Little; 1 brother, Bruce Little; 2 sisters, Joyce Kamp and Betty Eck; and 2 sons-in-law, Robert Clapper and David Whiteman. SERVICES with Military Honors will be 11 AM Thursday at
The Sytsema Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 with Pastor John H. Brown officiating. VISITATION will be 6 – 8 PM Wednesday (this evening) and one hour prior to the service on Thursday at the funeral home. INTERMENT will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. MEMORIALS to the Multiple Sclerosis Society and Heartland Hospice would be appreciated.
