Donald L. Emmons' Obituary
Mr. Donald Emmons, age 83, passed away Wednesday, December 9, 2009 at the Poppen Residence. He was born on September 4, 1926 to Lloyd and Birdus (Newton) Emmons in Conklin, MI. Mr. Emmons owned and operated Nomad Mobile Home Park until his retirement in 2001. Mr. Emmons had a love for flying and even knew many airplanes by the engine sounds. He served his country in the Army Air Corp. On April 28, 1950, he married Elaine Kinsman in Muskegon. SURVIVORS include his wife, Elaine, 2 children, Dan (Rose) Emmons and Candis (James) Campbell; 4 grandchildren, James (Marisa) Campbell, Shane (Kristen) Emmons, Heidi Campbell and Alissa (Patrick) Mullally along with 10 great-grandchildren and 1 sister, LoAnn Oudsema. MEMORIAL SERVICE will be 1 PM Friday, December 11, 2009 at The Sytsema Chapel Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 737 Apple Ave. 231-726-5210 VISITATION with the family will be one hour prior to the service. Memorials to Harbor Hospice or the Humane Society will be appreciated.
