Don has been my very good friend and neibhbor for six and a half years though it often seems as if I'd known him all my life. We had lots in common and shared stories, laughs, and a shot or a beer now and again. The next time I break out a bottle it will be to toast Don. He always gave me his advice even if I wasn't seeking it and he taught me how to face life while facing the concessions of life many of us will have to face. What a shock to open the paper tonight and see Don's name. I will surely miss him, his stories about days gone by, the war, and his thoughts about finances and banking.
