Donald R. Laird's Obituary
Mr. Donald R. “Red the Core Man” Laird, age 90, passed away Saturday evening, October 13, 2007 in Muskegon. Don was born June 6, 1917 to Milton and Edith (Hollick) Laird in Ludington and moved to the Muskegon area in 1951. He worked at S.D. Warren for over 25 years before retiring, and was a WWII U.S. Army veteran. Don loved Lake Michigan, walking the pier, and fishing. He was also a member of the Muskegon Eagles. In 1948 he married Genevieve Plont in Ludington, and she preceded him in death on July 12, 1995. SURVIVORS include his close friend Debra Rebedew of Muskegon, many other friends and relatives. He was also preceded in death by 1 brother, Leonard Laird, and 1 sister, Claudia Ziemkowski. VISITATION at
