Donald R. "Don" Bisson's Obituary
Mr. Donald R. “Don” Bisson, age 66, passed away Saturday evening, March 13, 2004 at his home. He was born July 31, 1937 in Muskegon to Ernest J. and Mildred L. (Kesteloot) Bisson, Sr. and lived his entire life in the area. Don was a 1955 graduate of Muskegon Catholic Central High School. He was a veteran of the U.S. National Guard having served 6 years in the Michigan Army National Guard. On February 3, 1962, he married the former Arlene M. Jensen in Muskegon. He retired in 1999 after 43 ½ years working as an electronic technician for Brunswick Corp. He was a very proud 13 ½ year member of the IAM Lodge 1813. Don was an active member of St. Jean Baptiste Catholic Church where served as a Sacristan and Eucharistic Minister. He was also very active with the Cursillo Movement in Catholic Church. SURVIVORS include his wife, Arlene; 4 children, Paul Bisson, MD of New York, Timothy (Elaine) Bisson, Chantal Bisson and Dakota Bisson all of Roosevelt Park; 8 grandchildren, Stephen, Scott, Stephanie, Sean, Casey Kinney, Jessica Metzger, Anthony and Adrian Bisson; 1 brother, Ernest (Mary) Bisson, Jr.; 1 sister, Patricia Langlois; many nieces, nephews, and special friends. He was preceded in death by his daughter, Bethany Ann Bisson-Kinney on March 7, 2004. THE FUNERAL LITURGY will begin 11:00 AM Wednesday, March 17, 2004 at Our Lady of Grace Catholic Church with the Rev. Fr. Ernest J. Bernott presiding. INTERMENT will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery. VISITATION with Don’s family will be 2-4 and 6-8 PM Tuesday at The Walburn Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc., 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., (231) 759-8565.
