Donald Richard Morris' Obituary
Mr. Donald Richard Morris, age 59, passed away very suddenly on Thursday, June 30, 2005. He was born December 1, 1945 in Grand Rapids, MI to Charles and Inez (Skinner) Morris and lived most of his life in the Muskegon area. On December 2, 1977, he married the former Jean M. Beckman and she preceded him in death December 14, 2004. Don worked for the Department of Public Works for the City of Roosevelt Park and retired in 2001. He was currently employed in maintenance for Prince of Peace Catholic Church, where he was an active member. Don was also very involved in the DeColores/Cursillo Movements. SURVIVORS include his children, Bob (Judy) Morris of Dorr, Gayle (Luke) Savage of Wyoming, Bill (Dendee) Morris of Byron Center; 7 grandchildren, Jessica, Cameron, Amy, Ashley, Emily, Kylee and Haven; his fiancee, Char McKee of Muskegon; 1 brother, Kenneth Morris of Grand Rapids; 2 sisters, Joyce Johnson of Ionia and Phyllis (Harold) Andrus of Grand Rapids. He was also preceded in death by his parents and 1 sister, Mary J. Parney. THE FUNERAL LITURGY will be celebrated 11:00 AM Wednesday, July 6, 2005 at Prince of Peace Catholic Church. VISITATION will be 5-8 PM Tuesday at the Sytsema Funeral Home, 737 Apple Avenue, (231) 726-5210. The Rosary will be prayed at 8:00 PM Tuesday evening. INTERMENT will take place at Merriman Cemetery in Lowell Township. MEMORIAL CONTRIBUTIONS may be made to Prince of Peace Catholic Church Building Fund.
