Donald V. Pringle's Obituary
Mr. Donald V. Pringle, age 56, passed away Wednesday, December 22, 2010 at the Poppen Residence. He was born December 8, 1954 in Muskegon to Vernard and Marilou (Hardt) Pringle, and resided in the area most of his life. Don was the former co-owner of the Muskegon Thunder along with his wife Julia, and their son, Adam Pringle. He most recently was a Personal Financial Analyst for Primerica Financial Services, where he worked for a number of years. Don was a member of the New Life Christian Center of Muskegon, and the Saladan Shrine Temple of Grand Rapids, where he belonged to their male chorus, The Chanters, for many years. Don coached football for 23 years at Mona Shores and Fruitport High School, loved hunting, fishing, camping, scooter riding, cooking, was a jokester, and most importantly loved spending time with his family. On September 20, 1975, he married the former Julia A. Williams, and she survives him along with 1 sister, Pat (Bill) Adams of Fruitport; father and mother in-law, Lyle and Ann Williams of Muskegon; brothers and sister-in-law, Lyle Dean (Trina) Williams and Michael (Pam) Williams of Muskegon and Sydney (Michael) Emerson of Norton Shores; and was “Uncle Duke” to his nephews, Jeff (Laura) Sponaas, Jon Sponaas and other nieces and nephews. Don was preceded in death by his son, Adam Pringle; and his parents. The FUNERAL SERVICE will be 11AM Thursday at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 with Pastor Joe Lane II officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 4-8 PM Wednesday. Burial will take place in Fruitport Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family asks memorial contributions be made to the Adam D. Pringle Humanitarian Memorial Fund in care of the Community Foundation of Muskegon County.
