Donna J. Burkall's Obituary
Donna J. Burkall, age 89, passed away Friday, March 12, 2021 in Muskegon. She was born on March 3, 1932 in Muskegon to Frank and Mary (Doppel) Douglas, and resided in the area all of her life. On June 9, 1948, Donna married Ronald Burkall and he preceded her in death on June 11, 2011 after 63 years of marriage. Donna enjoyed traveling with Ron, gardening, birds and especially her family and loved getting together with them. SURVIVORS include her four children, Randy (Ruth Ann) Burkall of Kentwood, Jean (Gary) Sprecken of Fruitport, Karen (David) Selby of Muskegon and Michael (Melissa Whitaker) Burkall of Norton Shores; 15 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren. Donna was also preceded in death by her granddaughter, Andrea Stroud; and sister, Iris Hoffman. VISITATION with the family will be 6-8 PM, Wednesday, March 17, 2021 at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI 49444 231-798-1100. The MASS of CHRISTIAN BURIAL will be 10 AM Thursday, March 18, 2021 at St. Mary of the Immaculate Conception Catholic Church with Fr. Matthew Barnum presiding.
