Donna Jean Campbell, age 94, of Spring Lake passed away Wednesday, August 21, 2013, at Heartwood Lodge. She was born February 18, 1919 in Ludington to Clark C. and Ruth Louise (Bailey) Oliver. She graduated from Ottawa Hills High Read Obituary
Mrs. Campbell will always be remembered fondly by the Twa family. Having grown up just down the block from each other she was an icon in the neighborhood. She always had a smile and kind words for everyone. But I always felt it special that she was my Godmother. Sadly, I was unable to attend the funeral and send my thoughts and prayers to all the Campbell family.
Our sincere condolences to the Campbell family on the passing of their sweet mother, Donna. Jerry and I were fortunate to have known her, and enjoyed stopping in to say hi to her and Bill when we'd be back in town, visiting Bob and Nancy. She was such a lady, so feminine. I enjoyed her stories about raising a large family and the fact that she always started her day with her make-up on and dressed nicely. It's such a tribute to her that her family so clearly cherished her.
My heart felt sorrows for you all, a mother holds us together as she knows each and every one of her kids differently... Each of you will miss her in his or her own special way and she will still look over you. You will hear her voice, see her face in the crowd or feel her gentle touch on your cheek that seems like no one is around... but she is. And I pray you get a smile from those moments. I am 50 and a hug from my mom seems like I am 9 years old again, cherish the years you had with her and I pray for Peace in your hearts. Jimmy, sorry I missed the funeral... I owe you a handshake and a friendship hug. Miss you my ole friend!
