Mrs. Donna D. Crain's Obituary
Mrs. Donna Dean (Knowles) Crain, age 85, passed away Monday, June 3, 2013 at a local nursing home. She was born April 30, 1928 in Muskegon to Murriel and Rosie (Drent) Knowles and lived in the area her entire life. On August 18, 1946, she married Verol Crain and he preceded her in death on April 15, 2009. Donna enjoyed needlepoint and was a gifted seamstress. She also enjoyed the time she spent with her children and grandchildren. SURVIVORS include 3 children, Norma (Larry) Hunt of Belmont, Orville V. Crain of Muskegon, Gary (Mary) Crain of Muskegon; 11 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Bonnie (Lowell) Baker, Garnett (“Sal”) Wisneski both of Muskegon; and special lifetime friends, Lefty and Wendy Backer. She was also preceded in death by her son, Roger Crain, daughter, Reba Crain, daughter-in-law, Marty Crain, her parents, 1 brother and 2 sisters. VISITATION will be held 6-8 PM Friday at The Sytsema Chapel, 737 Apple Avenue, (231) 726-5210. A CELEBRATION OF LIFE will take place 12-2 PM Saturday at the home of Orville Crain, 530 E.
