Donna D. Doom's Obituary
Donna D. Doom, age 82, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, June 11, 2024, at home. She was born on Novemeber 11, 1941, to Donald and Helen (Sohaski) Schumaker in Grand Rapids, MI. She married the love of her life, Chester “Chet” Doom on January 20, 1972, in Muskegon, MI. Together they cherished 52 years full of love and laughter. Donna was a dedicated employee of Brunswick for 31 years before retiring. She was an active member of the Machinist 32 local lodge 1813 and District 97. Donna was blessed with a green thumb and loved tending to her lavishing garden or maintain her yard on her tractor. Above all, she cherished the time spent with her family or visiting relatives. Donna will be truly missed by many. She is survived by her loving husband, Chet Doom; four children, Carla Malone, Cheryl Larson, Jeff Doom and Brian (Brenda) Doom; 11 grandchildren; numerous great and great-great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Delores Schumaker. She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bradley Doom; sister, Monnie Venne; brother, Lloyd Schumaker; and son-in-law, Stephen Larson. A Funeral Service will be held at 11:00 AM on Monday, June 17, 2024, at The Ravenna Chapel of Sytsema Funeral & Cremation Services, 3570 Thomas St., Ravenna, MI 49451.
