Donna M. Gilmore's Obituary
Donna M. Gilmore, age 88, passed away Sunday evening, May 17, 2015. She was born March 6, 1927 in Muskegon to Cyril and Agnes Moran. Donna worked as a social worker for over 20 years before retiring in 1980. On June 16, 1947 she married Donald M. Gilmore in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on February 14, 1996. Donna was a member of St. Catherine’s Catholic Church in Ravenna, loved bird watching and paddle boating on her lake, painting, reading, and collecting pictures. SURVIVORS include 6 children: Donald Gilmore, Dave (Lou) Gilmore, Doug (Mary) Gilmore, Dan (Georgeann) Gilmore, Dianne (Ron) Stratton, Dennis (Helen) Gilmore; 16 grandchildren; 49 great-grandchildren; son-in-law, Marv Francis; 4 brothers: Donald Moran, Dave (Helen) Moran, Mike Moran, Billy (Purita) Moran; 4 sisters: Patricia (William) Sorenson, Dolleen (Walter) Manning, Doris Marshall, Rosemarie (Joe) Putt; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents and a daughter, Deb Francis. THE FUNERAL MASS will take place 10:00 AM Friday, May 22, 2015, at St. Catherine’s Catholic Church, 12236 Heights Ravenna Rd., Ravenna, MI 49451, with the Rev. Fr. G. Fredrick Brucker presiding.
