Donna Jean Hendrickson's Obituary
Mrs. Donna Jean Hendrickson, age 84, passed away Thursday morning, October 15, 2015 in Grand Haven. Donna was born April 13, 1931 in Muskegon to Delbert and Erma (Palin) Rinehart and has resided in Spring Lake the last 30 years. Donna had been a professional seamstress and retired from King’s Canvas in 1989. She had been an active member of Calvary Church and enjoyed designing and making her family’s clothing. She loved people and was happy to help decorate homes, do art projects and had the ability to cut her own hair and that of others. On September 30, 1949, she married Henry Hendrickson and together enjoyed doing many things together, including riding motorcycles for over 20 years, visiting 33 states in the process. SURVIVORS include her husband, Hank; 2 children, Bonnie Jean (David) Horne of Fruitport Twp., Michael H. (Carol) Hendrickson of Fruitport Twp.; 6 grandchildren, David (Tonya) Horne, Tim (Rebecca) Horne, Tana (Matt) Schwemin, Rusty (Cassie) Hendrickson, Ryan (Amy) Hendrickson and Scott M. (Tavra) Wahr; 13 great-grandchildren; 2 sisters, Mae Nummerdor and Marie Harris; her sister-in-law, Nancy Rhinehart and her brother-in-law, Robert Derby; and by several nieces and nephews. Donna was preceded in death by her parents, granddaughter, Billie Jean Wahr, 4 brothers and 2 sisters. FUNERAL SERVICES will be 11:00 AM Tuesday, October 20, 2015 at the Lee Chapel, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444 with the Rev. Dr. William Rudd officiating. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Gardens. VISITATION with Donna’s family will be 6-8:00 PM Monday; and 10-11:00 AM Tuesday, prior to the service.
