Donna M. Hofmann, age 98, passed away Sunday, September 29, 2019. She was born February 17, 1921 in Oceana, Co., to Leo E. and Daisy F. (Gray) Strait. She married Walter O. Hofmann and he preceded her in death on October 16, 1977. Read Obituary
So many memories with this wonderful woman. Visits to see Grandma Daisy on the weekends, riding my bicycle to visit, going to church together, camping visits with the best cobbler you'd ever tasted in your life. Her love for all of us kids was so evident! She was the strongest woman of faith I have ever met, nothing ever made her faith waiver. Heaven has gained a wonderful angel! I will miss you and always have you in my heart. I love you Aunt Donna!

Many years ago when I was a young bride to Aunt Donna's nephew, I used to stop by her home early in the morning usually once a week. She had encouraged me to stop by as she was always up early reading the Word and often praying. I would drop by about 7:00 a.m. and we would visit for about 2 hours. Such a delight she was! Sometimes she would have fresh cookies but always a smile and hugs. We shared many thoughts about life and family. She shared stories of her youth and as a young married herself. I stayed in contact with her for many years even though our lives went separate ways. She remained always warm and affectionate and so happy to hear from me. She was a loving, caring, delightful lady and one I truly treasure having known. Always sticking in my mind is a common phrase she would use "Don't cha know"...... so many sweet memories of Aunt Donna.

Ms. Donna was always such a beautiful soul. Amazing words of advice she gave to me freely and lovingly. Always prayed for me even when I couldn't pray for myself. She will be greatly missed. She imprinted on my heart. Thank you for seeing something in me that I never could. I love you and have been forever blessed by your love. You will be forever missed but I know that you are sitting in heaven. Please watch over me. I still need you. You were my blessing.
