Mrs. Donna E. Holstine's Obituary
Mrs. Donna E. Holstine, age 94, passed away early Thanksgiving morning, November 27, 2014 after a short illness. She was born on September 26, 1920 to John and Bessie (Bowen) Veeneman. She resided in Muskegon all her life with the last 50 years a proud resident of Roosevelt Park. In August of 1937 she married Roland Holstine. Donna was employed by Sealed Power Corp. for 34 years as an inspector before retiring in 1981. She was a long time Westwood Reformed Church member and enjoyed doing ceramics, sewing, but most of all spending time with her family. She was preceded in death by her husband, Roland, in 1963; one son, Wendell Holstine; two son-in-laws, Allen Spitler and Rod Wright; one brother and three sisters. She is survived by two daughters, Nancy Wright of Rockwell, North Carolina and Janet Spitler of Muskegon; one son, Jeff Holstine of Muskegon; five grandchildren, Emily (David) Holstine, Joe (Christine) Holstine, Corey (Becki) Holstine, Eric (Amy) Wright and Pat (Marta) Wright; seven grandchildren (and 2 on the way); three great-great grandchildren; sister, Joann (Ken) Osborn; sister-in-law, Mary Veeneman of Alabama and her two furry friends, Toby and Roxy. Her family would like to extend a very special thank-you to the staff at Mercy Hospital and to the staff and friends at Sanctuary at McAuley who she loved dearly. SERVICES will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at The Walburn Chapel, 1547 W. Sherman Blvd., 231-759-8565. VISITATION will be one hour prior to her service. Burial will be in Mona View Cemetery. MEMORIALS to Westwood Reformed Church or the Salvation Army would be appreciated.
