Donna R. Johnson's Obituary
Donna Rae Johnson, age 73, passed away in Norton Shores, MI, on Thursday, August 7, 2025. She was born in Grand Haven, MI, on October 29, 1951, to William and Sarah (Naerebout) Johnson. She graduated from Grand Haven High School and lived her whole life in west Michigan. She worked multiple customer service jobs throughout her life, predominantly at Burger Crest in Fruitport and at Walmart. Donna loved watching Detroit Tigers Baseball, working in her flower garden, going to yard sales, and fishing. She loved spending time with her husband, Duke, especially going to the casino and riding on their four-wheeler. She was very outgoing and could hold a conversation with anyone. She was a strong, loving woman who loved spending time with her grandchildren.
Donna will be lovingly remembered by her two children: Jennifer and Jeff Snyder; five grandchildren: Sarah (Cody Swarvar) Thier, Samantha (Abraham) Swarvar, Justin Thier, Jack Snyder, and William Duke Snyder; seven great-grandchildren; niece, Michelle; and nephew, Michael Jr. She was preceded in death by her husband, Glenn “Duke” Johnson Sr; parents, William and Sarah Johnson; and all three of her siblings: Delores, William, and Michael.
At this time there are no public services being held for Donna. Memorial contributions may be made to the Harbor Hospice Foundation.
