Donna Moeller's Obituary
Donna Ruth Moeller, age 77, of Grand Haven and Grand Rapids passed away Thursday, September 12, 2013, after battling a long fight with kidney and heart disease. She was born May 8, 1936 in Chicago, IL to Stanley and Kathryn Hardy. She was married to her love and soul mate Jerome (Jerry) Moeller on January 9, 1960 in Chicago. He preceded her in death in 1999.
Donna was everyone’s friend. She had a beautiful smile and the warmest heart. She was the life of the party and she made people feel at ease and important. Our smiles are the reflection of her love for us. She was smart, quick-witted, sweet, and sometimes sassy, but you always could have fun with her. She was an amazing mother, wife, and grandmother. Donna was a homemaker for several years, but then she decided to get her Real Estate license and she worked for Coldwell Banker in Grand Haven. After working in real estate for 10 years, she decided to pursue advertising sales. She worked in Muskegon and Grand Rapids selling yellow page advertising for TDI and then McLoud USA. She retired in 2001.
Donna was a lifelong Catholic who attended church at St. Patrick’s Church in Grand Haven. There she enjoyed mentoring engaged couples at Pre-Cana with her husband Jerry. She enjoyed boating, traveling, socializing with friends, and spending quality time with family.
Donna is lovingly remembered by her 4 children and their spouses: Terri (Dave) VerHoef of Kentwood, MI, Kevin (Christina) Moeller of Novi, MI, Karen (Richard) Dedert and Lori (Matt) Phillips both of Rockford, MI. She will be deeply missed by her 5 grandchildren: Conner and Kyle Dedert, and Brittany, Lexie, and Nicholas Moeller. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jerry; her 2 brothers, Stanley and James Hardy.
A Funeral Mass will be held at St. Patrick’s Church on Wednesday, September 18, 2013 at 10:00 a.m., with Rev. Fr. William Langlois presiding. Visitation will be held for friends and family on Tuesday, September 17, from 5-8 p.m. at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven.
