Mrs. Donna Pope, age 89, of Spring Lake passed away Monday, April 28, 2025. She was born November 11, 1935, in Grand Haven to Simon and Crystal (Rogers) Scheffers. In 1956, she married Quay Pope, and he preceded her in death in 20 Read Obituary
Dear Ross and family. My thoughts and prayers are with you during this difficult time and may God's grace and mercy bring you strength and comfort. I have many fun memories of Donna and Quay as I went to school with them both.
So sad to hear of Donna’s passing. She was a staple of the community and was loved and respected by our neighborhood. She let all of us neighborhood kids use her “woods” to explore, bike, make forts, you name it.
Every morning before school, Donna would watch me, make me breakfast and take me to the bus stop because my parents had to work early. I still have fond memories of her teaching me the different names of birds in her yard and giving her dog (Yuri) the bacon grease from breakfast.
You will be missed, Donna!
