Donna Jo Saladin's Obituary
Donna Jo Saladin, age 85, passed away peacefully at home on December 1, 2024. She was born on February 24, 1939, to Paul and Mary (Perucca) Scholz in Muskegon. Donna retired in 2020 as an executive assistant at Mercy-Trinity Hospital in Muskegon after 40 years, most of her career being at Hackley Hospital. Donna was an instructor in martial arts and obtained a 4th degree Black Belt. While sharing her love for martial arts, she met her husband, Joseph Saladin, and they were married on July 23, 1983. They shared 41 years of marriage. He survives her along with her sister, Nancy (Jim) Hooker, nephew, James (Nancy) Hooker and great-nephew, and niece Mitchell and Lynnsey. Donna was preceded in death by her parents. A MEMORIAL GATHERING is planned for Thursday, December 12, 2024, from 5-7 PM at The Sytsema Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 737 Apple Ave., Muskegon, MI 49442.
