Marjorie Mundt is my grandmother. Today I had the difficult task of notifying her of Donna's passing. She broke down in a way I have never, ever seen her express emotion. She truly loved Donna with the whole of her heart. Their connection was powerful, deep and transcendent. According to my grandmother, the bond they shared was greater than friends or sisters. My grandmother loved and respected Donna endlessly and forever. I printed the obituary which my grandmother cradled to her heart and then kissed the photo. She wants the family to know how incredible a woman Donna was and the remarkable impact she had on her life. As I witness her continue the grieving process she utters, through tears, how she thanks the Lord for her beautiful soul. She sends love to all. God bless!
I was the principal at Oakview Elementary and worked with Donna from 1978 until she retired. It was always a joy to talk with her at school and many years beyond her retirement. She had a zest for life and I enjoyed being around her. Rest in peace.
