Donna L. Steinhauer's Obituary
Donna L. Steinhauer, age 83, passed away on December 16, 2024, at Butterworth Hospital in Grand Rapids. She was born on November 20, 1941, to Donald and Louise (Stinger) Akright in Benton Harbor. Donna enjoyed simple things, along with loving on animals, traveling, camping and cooking at home. On July 4, 1981, she married Frank Steinhauer, and he survives her along with her children, Tamra (Dan White) Gatchell, Kevin (Theresa) Gatchell and Ronald Gatchell; stepsons, Frank (Becky) Steinhauer and Randy (Karen) Steinhauer; 13 grandchildren, 7 great-grandchildren; sister, Carolyn (Bob) Schneider and brother, Leon Akright. Donna was preceded in death by her parents; stepmother, Blanche Akright; and stepbrothers, Louie Ramsey and Jerry Ramsey. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held for Donna at 11:00 AM Monday, December 23, 2024, at St. Mark Lutheran Church (4475 Henry St.) with Pastor Scott Faith officiating. VISITATION with the family will be 2-4 PM Sunday, December 22, 2024, at The Lee Chapel of Sytsema Funeral and Cremation Services, 6291 S. Harvey St., Norton Shores, MI 49444, and visitation an hour prior to the service at church on Monday. Burial will take place at Norton Cemetery.
