Donna Ann Veeneman's Obituary
Donna A. Veeneman, age 93, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, August 19, 2025, in Muskegon, MI. She was born to Harry and Trena (Schutter) Weesies in Montague, MI. Donna married the love of her life, Howard J. Veeneman, on November 6, 1953, in Montague, MI. She spent nearly 30 years as a Nursing Instructor at Muskegon Community College where she was dedicated, valued and utilized to teach the upcoming generations of nurses. Donna was a member of Unity Reformed Church where she was involved as a Youth Group Leader, Sunday School Teacher and the Women’s Guild. She is survived in death by her children: Gordon (Barbara) Veeneman, Cal (Shari) Veeneman, Rudy (Joni) Veeneman and Doriann Oxendale; 9 grandchildren, 17 great grandchildren; brothers: Wendall (Mary) Weesies, Gary (Mary) Weesies; sister: Mavis Lounds. She is preceded in death by her parents: Harry and Trena Weesies; spouse: Howard J. Veeneman; son: Jay Veeneman; brothers: Wallace Weesies, Raymond Weesies and sister: Marilyn Breuker. VISITATION will be Thursday, August 21, 2025, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM at The Lee Chapel, 6291 Harvey St. Norton Shores, MI. 49444 and again on Friday, August 22, 2025, from 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM at Unity Reformed Church, 1521 Porter Rd. Muskegon, MI. 49441. FUNERAL SERVICE will follow at 11:00 AM with a LUNCHEON to follow. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions can be made to Muskegon Community College Nursing Scholarship or Unity Reformed Church – Kitchen Remodeling Project.
