Mrs. Donna B. Wardell's Obituary
Mrs. Donna B. Wardell, age 90, passed away Monday evening, February 18, 2013 in Grand Haven. She was born January 29, 1923 to Sidney and Isabelle (Whidden) Strong in Muskegon, and lived most of her life in the W. Michigan area. Donna was a church organist for many years, playing in several churches in the Muskegon area, and also played the organ at Sytsema Funeral Homes for 18 years. On June 22, 1942 she married Richard M. Wardell at Ft. Stevens, Oregon, and he preceded her in death on September 30, 2006. SURVIVORS include four daughters, Carolyn Lopez of Bismarck, ND, Beverly Hamil of Bismarck, ND, Barbara (John) Koski of Twin Lake, Susan (Clifton) Rohrbough of N. Muskegon; many grand and great-grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Robert and Truman Strong; and a son-in-law, Cliff Hamil. Private family services have been held., with burial taking place at Restlawn Cemetery.
