Mrs. Donna M. Wickerink's Obituary
Philippians 1:21 – “To live is Christ, to die is Gain” Mrs. Donna M. Wickerink, 84, went to be with her Lord and Savior Friday, June 12, 2020. She was born May 24, 1936 to Christopher and Stena (Katt) Postma in Muskegon Heights, and was a lifelong resident of the Muskegon area. Donna worked for GTE for 30 years before retiring in 1991. She was a member of Calvin Christian Reformed Church where she volunteered in the household pantry and soup kitchen, and also served as a church greeter. She enjoyed golfing, shopping and being a grandmother. On September 7, 1956 she married John L. Wickerink, and he survives her along with 2 chiildren: Gary (Cindy) Wickerink and Kristi Wickerink; 1 grandson: Jeff (Bre Plouher) Wickerink; 1 great-grandson: Tucker Wickerink; 2 sisters: Barb (Bob) Scanlon and Beverly (Dave) Kool; 1 sister-in-law: Lynn (David) Visscher. She was preceded in death by her parents. A service to celebrate and remember Donna’s life will be held Friday, June 19, at 11:00 AM at Calvin Christian Reformed Church, 973 W. Norton Ave., Norton Shores, 49441. Visitation with social distancing will be 1 hour prior to the service. Contributions in memory of Mrs. Wickerink may be made to the Muskegon Rescue Mission, Love INC, or Calvin Christian Reformed Church.
