Donna G. Galbraith's Obituary
Donna G. Galbraith, age 90, of Spring Lake passed away Saturday, April 19, 2008, at a local hospital. She was born February 14, 1918, in Spring Lake to James and Anna (Baldwin) Carter. She married Joe W. Galbraith on September 22, 1943, in Grand Haven, and he preceded her in death on March 5, 1992.
Mrs. Galbraith was a lifelong resident of the Tri-Cities area and had worked as a cab driver during World War II. She was a life member of the VFW Sgt. Alvin Jonker Post #2326 Auxiliary.
Survivors include her daughter, Laura Elaine (Doug) Bowman of Wagoner, Oklahoma; a son, Bruce (Carol) Cook of Spring Lake; seven grandchildren; thirteen great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; a sister, Charmaine Wood; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son, Michael; two sisters; and one brother.
The service for Donna will be held at 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 22, 2008, at VanZantwick Bartels Kammeraad Funeral Home in Grand Haven with Mr. James Bethke officiating. Friends may meet the family 6-8 p.m. Monday, April 21, at the funeral home in Grand Haven and one hour prior to the service on Tuesday. Interment will be in Spring Lake Cemetery.
