Dora Ella Morehouse's Obituary
Mrs. Dora Ella “Penny” Morehouse, age 95, passed away at her home on Sunday, August 16, 2020. She was born in Brownwood, Texas on March 24, 1925 to Frank and Beaulah (Simmons) Pollard. Penny married a Yankee soldier, Robert Lee “Buck” Morehouse, on August 25, 1945 and he preceded her in death on April 7, 1998. She was employed by Reeths-Puffer Schools as a bus driver for 20 years prior to her retirement in 1984. Penny enjoyed crocheting, knitting, flowers, and western square dancing with her husband, Buck. She is survived by her five children, Larry (Kathleen) Morehouse, Rosemary Yemc, Danny (Kelly) Morehouse, James (Tangi) Morehouse, and Patricia (Rick) Egeler; 14 grandchildren; many great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and sister, Virginia Faye (Lyle) Tucker. In addition to her husband, Penny was preceded in death by a son-in-law, Vance Yemc; grandson, Bryan Yemc; and three brothers, Jimmy, Frank, and Monte Pollard. Due to COVID-19 and concerns with social distancing, services for Penny at this time will be PRIVATE. MEMORIALS in memory of Penny may be directed to Life Circles.
