Dora A. Buck's Obituary
Mrs. Dora A. Buck, age 81, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, November 9, 2008, in Juno Beach, FL. Dora was born in Muskegon on October 27, 1927, to Albert and Helen (Schweissinger) White and was a graduate of Muskegon High School. She was a star athlete at both Bunker and Muskegon H.S. and was an avid golfer throughout her life. She married Clifford Buck, Jr. on November 24, 1948. He preceded her in death on December 2, 1981. Dora’s love for Muskegon showed in her many charitable services where she served on the boards of both the Women’s Division of the Chamber of Commerce and the Zonta Club. She was also a member of the, Muskegon Elks #274, the Moose and Vikings. Dora divided her time between her beloved Muskegon and Juno Beach, FL where she had many friends and loved ones. Dora’s memory will be forever cherished and never forgotten by her three children, Jeffrey (Belinda) Buck of N. Muskegon, Shelly (Peter) Bascetta of Jupiter, FL and Lisa (Mark) Peterson of Jupiter, FL; six grandchildren, Alexis (Todd) Robinson, Britney (Lee) Stroever, Neka Peterson, Raegon Bascetta, Chelsea Buck and Nicholas Peterson; and brother, Robert (Bernie) White of N. Muskegon. The funeral service will be held at: The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. 231-798-1100 Monday, November 17, 2008 at 11:00 A.M., Rev. David Selleck officiating. Visitation with family will be Sunday evening, 6-8 P.M. She will be laid to rest in the mausoleum of Sunrise Memorial Gardens.
