Dora M. (Page) Vayette's Obituary
Mrs. Dora M. (Page) Vayette, age 68, passed away Sunday, August 8, 2010 at her home. She was a life resident of Muskegon, spending winters in Florida. Dora Minnie Page was born March 22, 1942 to Ellis I. and Bernice H. (DuPrey) Page, the 11th child to that union. On July 30, 1960, she married Vernon E. Vayette in Muskegon and he preceded her in death on May 6, 2006. Dora was manager of the Village Market in Norton Shores for 25 years, manager of the Elks Campground for 10 years and retired in 2007. She was known for always helping those around her and a friend to many. She was a member of the BPOE #274 where she was Elk of the Year in 1999-2000. She was also a member of the Muskegon Eagles Aerie #668 and the Lithuanian Club. SURVIVORS include her son, Todd (Sue) Vayette and their children, Tashina (David) Winsemuis and Jaimen Vayette of Muskegon; her son, Ty (Megan) Vayette and their daughter, Addison Vayette, and grand-dog, Ridley of Hatteras, NC; sisters, Elaine Dancz of Kentwood, Bernice (Edwin) Towne of Fremont, Emma (Bernard) Curtis of Twin Lake; and brother, E. Carl Page of Cedar Springs; and several nieces and nephews and special friend, Allen Bont. She was also preceded in death by her parents, sisters, Mildred and Mary, and brothers, Elvin, Floyd, Bernard and John. A FUNERAL SERVICE will be held 11:00 AM Thursday, August 12, 2010 at The Lee Chapel, Sytsema Funeral Homes, Inc. 6291 S. Harvey St. (231) 798-1100. INTERMENT will take place at Lakeside Cemetery.
